Antelopes

Mixing prints. A wardrobe challenge if ever I knew one. A million 'how to' articles exist, proffering equivocal advice like 'If you have two patterns of the same style, such as two plaids, you'll do best by mixing up the scale of the print'.  Eh, what?
There's a fine line between nailing cohesive coordination and in cold light of day, appearing like you got dressed in the dark (so I have found.) Perhaps ability lies in genetics. You're either born with or without, like rolling your tongue or having dimples.   So here's my interpretation of mixing print, this silk skirt with its little cavorting antelopes (yes, they are antelopes.) It is my worn and loved go to print, which unusually, does seem to go with everything.
{Skirt: Topshop, t: Isabel Marant Etoile, jacket: Sportsgirl, necklace: Lizze Fortunato, shoes: Aldo, bag: Zara}

I've been following your blog for quite a while now, but I this is my first message go figure...
I love how you combine patterns and textures! I'm huge dress fan, but you make me want to have a lot of skirts so I can combine them however I want.
I love your bag and how the leather is aging in a beautiful way! I can't belive it's Zara.

Lucy, you look amazing as always! Love how you mixed prints...but I think one giant factor of "pulling off" an outfit is confidence...and girl, you've got it!!!

I love this skirt! It's just got so much fun and ease to it.

Your Zara bag is really growing on me. My cousin has the same one, and she carries it everywhere. I am thinking the light color one might be perfect for a work bag!
