Ballet Flats

I'd be lost without nude ballet flats, a wardrobe staple that has been on repeat purchase for years. As a fashion assistant in London I learned they extend the leg line, making even the most vertically challenged person appear instantly altitudinous. (Beware of dark colours! The make you look shorter!) Sometimes when you know what suits, you've just got to run with it.
This pair are from J-Crew and in Australia I loved these from Country Road.

Ahh I LOVE J.Crew's ballet flats...they last longer than most & are so comfy :)

as a short person, i'm always very conscious of which shoes i can and can't wear (rather, the ones i can wear but shouldn't). i found a pair of nude ballet flats that are sort of like patent leather that i'm in love with! i plan every outfit around them!

those are totally adorable! but although I am a "hobbit" haha ... I love black ones, too! ;)

Yay for ballet flats, or ballerinas as we Germans say :-) This is the first summer ever I'm wearing them, and I love them already!

Since I am beyond vertically challenged I well appreciate this tip!
Of course I knew this with nude heels but never thought of the flats....

Yep.... those are completely stunning. I had this old, gross black pair by Prada I found for a total steal (remember the season with the pointy blue brocade flats? sigh) and wore them to death. They sat in the top of the trash bin and were retrieved within hours no less than 3 times. Then I lost the heel down an elevator shaft, and have been trying to find a suitable replacement ever since. Click, click, and thank you! Lucy to the rescue.

Amen to that! Lengthening is never a bad thing. I actually need a pair of nude flats very badly.

I've always loved the look of nude flats but never knew, consciously, why. Now I do! What a great tip. And now I'm off to make me a purchase of that wardrobe staple. These are lovely.

I actually bought these last month because I thought it was ridiculous that I never owned a pair of nude flats! I had heard they would make your legs longer, I don't know if they actually do, but I love them! I also just bought them in green. :)
