Perfect Pleats

There's a little bit of fashion hoopla surrounding the Whistles Carrie skirt, so much so that the hot pink pleated number has become the most blogged and tweeted about item of the moment (Is the PR girl for Whistles currently kicking back in Aruba, considering her career complete?) I think there's something about pleated skirts for summer. Not the rough, thick pleat skirts of gym class heyday, but instead, light fripperous pleats that flutter against bare legs in the breeze. I missed the boat on the Whistles skirt but found this one from Topshop sale instead, worn here Jil Sander style with a crisp white T shirt.

Nearly all of the things you point out happens to be astonishingly precise and it makes me ponder the reason why I had not looked at this in this light before. This piece really did turn the light on for me as far as this particular topic goes.
