GOING FOR A SONG
Monday, August 9, 2010 As anyone who reads this knows, I like nothing more than a Saturday morning spent unearthing vintage finds and then telling anyone and everyone who will listen about my prudent purchases. So imagine my delight at the Hells Kitchen Flea Markets.
The markets themselves aren't huge which means they are easy to navigate and don't overwhelm. If you have the patience, the best gems are found on the stalls that literally resemble {for those who know it} the inside of Primark- that is, tables laden with heaped clothes that require a needle in a haystack approach. I found a vintage Christian Dior camel blazer {perfect for this 35c heat} and a silk shirt by The Limited, both for an unbelievable price.
I've heard Brooklyn Flea and The Garage are both brilliant too, any tips?
