VINTAGE BLUSH
Thursday, May 27, 2010 {Blushing; at Arnsdorf, RAFW}
I've hardly had time to post lately; my life is packed in boxes {read: I have no decent outfits to speak of; I've been rocking some truly strange combinations of late} and soon I'm leaving Australia for England's sunny shores, before heading to big ol' NYC. I have a quick stop in Singapore on the way and I want to hunt out some good vintage shopping {or indeed, any kind of shopping} ideas?

What a beautiful earthy blush. Singapore you really can't go past Orchard Rd. I personally love to get lost in Far East Plaza, it's where I got my most recent tattoo and the abundance of cheap shoes there blows my mind. I love Singapore! If you have time perhaps consider going on the Night Safari at the zoo - it's ammmazing!

i agree with MEZ! :)
I have been told that is a great place for shoes, especially flats/ballerinas-
just careful of your luggage weight!

Really cool photo :)
The move has snuck up quickly! Good luck with it all! Can't wait to stomp the streets with you next year. (Sorry, don't know of good vintage shopping in Singapore. I loved it, but the shopping was the only thing that disappointed me when I went!).
interesting photo !!!

I don't know how late this comment is but in Singapore, on Orchard Rd only go to Far East Plaza (Basement floor, level 2, both sides - just walk around) but it isn't really vintage. The rest of Orchard Rd is pricey but feeds your needs if you're looking for Zara, Topshop, etc...
Try the labryinth of Bugis Street Village... Get off the MRT at Bugis and ask around, it's the covered market area. Go down the middle main street then turn left and go inside when you see the Sex (I think?) shop on your right. Make sure you definitely cover that one street inside that has every single item for $10 or less..
The second floor also has good stores so don't miss out on that...
You cannot miss Haji Lane in the Arab st quarter. Then stop by Blu Jaz Cafe on Bali Lane.
i just stumbled upon your blog and i love your style! i hope you'll resume regular posting soon :) safe travels!
To be honest, there isn't very much good vintage in Singapore, but there's great branded shopping! It's all rather homogeneous there, but there are a lot of chain stores that aren't available here, like Zara/Topshop/H&M etc.
your bloghas some really amazing pictures!
