Thrifted...
Monday, May 10, 2010 These $12 camel coloured trousers unearthed in a thrift shop have officially become my favourite find ever. I had doubts about fashion week because, as anyone who reads this blog will know, there's a certain lack of exquisite designer pieces in my wardrobe. Doubts aside, what struck me was the most stylish people I saw, the people who clearly had the confidence to outwardly convey a sense of themselves, weren’t dressed in the most expensive pieces, nor head to toe in season trends. (With the exception of a few beautifully dressed fashion editors) It comes as a relief to realise sometimes money has nothing to do with style, which in turn is rather good news for the credit card.

i agree! I am trying to spend less and keep up with all the styles and looks I want. Sometimes it can get so hard not to get caught up in the frenzy of designers. However, there are more important things in life.
stunning picture of you!
I totally agree: I have never wore label but got people excited about my looks all the time.
It is a matter of sense of style, how you match pieces and colours.
And you do it incredibly!

totally in LOVE!!!
Those pants are amazing on you!! What an amazing find. I really love the shoes too!!
That's a very true statement that money has nothing to do with style. Granted, you may be able to afford some luxury goods but its is not equivalent to having good style.

Those trousers are an amazing find - so Chloe/Celine I love them :) It's true that you don't need to spend a lot of money to look great, but to find cheaper options you need to devote quite a lot of time to searching through stores... So really it's a question of do you have the money, or the time? So frustrating when I have neither...

This is really an amazing outfit! Why I never find such wonderful pieces for a small price?
Do you actually have a special place or strategy to find affordable clothes like the trousers?

PS LOVE your blog!!!
Thanks for the link hun! Some people asked me about the trousers.. I may have told them they were $2. hahaha oops.
Beautiful!
I wish I was taller so i could pull these off. .
I completely agree. In fact I think it takes much more skill and creativity to pull together a stylish outfit from non-designer clothes and the result is always much more unique. I don't own any designer pieces either but can relate to that concern of how you are perceived in the fashion world if you don't. I think blogs have taken vintage style a long way and to me, the most interesting looks are created from op shop finds....
