With thanks
Thursday, November 25, 2010 Today was cold with that low wintery light I forgot existed when I lived in Australia. We drank fresh coffee and got excited when stray snowflakes fell on the street. We walked through McCarren Park and down empty roads which usually throb with life.
Cultural differences are one of the most exciting aspects to living in a foreign country and I didn't grasp the magnitude of Thanksgiving before living in America. The concept is pretty awesome- like Christmas without the flagrant commercialism and it's nice to stop for a minute and think about everything you have to be grateful for. For me it's amazing friends and family, moving to New York and creating a life with someone who makes me laugh everyday, fresh coffee and snowflakes. Its been a tough year but I'm feeling pretty grateful right now.

Happy Thanksgiving.
you are so brave!
it's snowing and you are not wearing tights!
if you see me this morning (actually snowing in Milan), you'll think I am overweight! why?
4 piles of wool clothes!!! But you British are known to not suffer like the Italians for the temperatures (I envy you!!)
anyway, love your look and the way you've mixed the colour.
you are a star!

Love the outfit Lucy, you look great as always. It is always great to take a moment out of our busy lives to give thanks for what we have.
I live in Spain, and usually, the american traditions are not very well seen here, but I think everybody should have a thanksgiving day, because we should be grateful for lots of things and sometimes we don't remember.

This outfit proves again that accessories make the outfit. Yours are all dead-on and I was a bit sad that they're all vintage but now I need to add a couple of things to my thrifting hunting list: fox collar, envelope clutch. You look fabulous!

xxx gorgeous!
I always look forward to your posts.
And I totally agree with the gratitude concept so much so, that I am known to partake of a daily & fortifying G&T [& yep that is Gratitude & Thankfulness!]
I resonate with your "tough year" [not a sibling but a father] and also that there is still so much for which to be grateful :D
