What about Winter

Fall fashion is billed by critics as the bigger, better sister of the two main RTW collections. More interesting, with tons more fur, pattern and texture, it has the capacity to induce a frenzy as editors clamber over one another to get their mitts on the latest pieces. I on the other hand, find winter wardrobes a nightmare. Somehow I've ended up living a perpetual summer for the past few years so when the weather turns cold, I'm completely nonplussed. Breezy silk dresses? Peeptoe shoes? Got a wardrobe stuffed full of them. Peering out into the inky blue light of a cold, drizzly New York morning? I'm reaching for a pair of toasty Ugg boots {I know, I know}. Last week as the weather turned crisp, I found this beautiful Gryphon jacket in Buffalo Exchange. Great for this transeasonal weather, but when winter really arrives I'll have awfully cold wrists.

Hi Lucy! I just found your blog courtesy of Gabby. LOVE your style! That jacket and skirt re darling! I prefer Summer myself, but can't bear the cold. Hope you find some lovely arm warmers so you can wear that pretty coat through the winter. And hope you'll come visit! Following now!

Mind you, it seems crazy but when I moved to the UK (only Oxford, not Glasgow) I thought I would dye for the cold weather. filled the suitcase of wool, angora, fleece.
It was LESS cold than were I live now (close to Milan.....
Like teh British, I tend (now) not to wear tights in winter and silk on autumn....

You'll be OK, you just need a long-sleeved cashmere sweater to wear under it!

I love your outfit! That skirt it beautiful. I totally understand not liking winter dressing. I like fall when I can wear the same dresses and just add cardigans and boots, but once it's actually cold I turn to my Uggs, too. My resolution this year is to always dress nice for class..no Uggs, no North Face. We'll see how I'm doing with that in a few months!!
